The Need

“The evidence supporting sports participation for young people is overwhelming…It has the power to combat everything from racism to low self-image, to the high-school drop-out rate.”

Only 20% of children in Louisville get
60 minutes of exercise every week.

Without sustainable, community-driven
sports programs
many young people face a higher risk of developing lifelong unhealthy habits and health conditions, including:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Hypertension
  • Lung disease

The good news: most of these conditions are preventable through regular physical activity. By providing accessible, engaging sports opportunities, we can help set the next generation on a path toward healthier lives.

Evidence is Clear.  Active kids do better in life.
