SportsFun(d)’s Goals:

  • Address barriers for sports
  • Address social inequity in health
  • Leverage existing under-utilized facilities
  • Develop non-traditional sports opportunities
  • Promote community involvement to develop scholarship opportunities

Our goal is to create affordable, accessible and healthy sports opportunities for underserved youth in Louisville by:

  • Supporting local partnerships
  • Collaborating with youth programs on new initiatives
  • Advocating for children’s health through sports

SportsFun(d) Program Partners

Louisville Metro Parks

In partnership with Metro Parks, launch youth soccer leagues in Petersburg and Wyandotte Parks, and recreational swimming programs in Algonquin, Sun Valley and Nelson Hornbeck Parks.

Ali Sting Rays

Expansion grant to expand swimming and education program created by the Muhammed Ali Center and Trident Swim Foundation.

Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy

KIVA and the USA Volleyball Pioneer Region are matching SportsFun(d)’s grant to launch girl’s volleyball leagues at the Portland Depot.

Louisville Fencing Center

Increase education and fencing opportunities with the Louisville Fencing Center and Jefferson County Public Schools

West Louisville Tennis Club

Secure coaches and session-ending shoes for participants of the West Louisville Tennis Club summer clinic.

Louisville Flaget Rams Youth Sports

Provide football equipment to enable more boys and girls to participate.

West Side Track Club

Help more kids participate in track and field meets for whom cost is a barrier.
